I have Acrobat 7.0.9 and am having trouble positioning the link across the text in my document. The link command and box seem to be tied to specific increments. Is there any way to position the links in a document precisely?

Check to see if you have Snap to Grid checked under the View Menu. If it is, uncheck it then you can drag the link tool without any specific increments- you can also use the arrow keys to nudge the link box into place more precisely.
