I've tried a number of ways of creating a PDF from a Word 2008 document. I get a greatly degraded result. The front does not look nearly as nice as the Word source document.

I've tried the PDF setting in the MAC Printer to PDF as well as Adobe PDF.
The PDF results in font degradation. Notation is fine.

The Adobe PDF results in same front degradation, plus some notation files greatly skewed (unusable)

In POSTSCRIPT the 2 page file looks good

Can you help me, a newbie?

(What's in the 2 page file? Sentences/paragraphs, etc, music notation files, and rich media audio file. Trial file.)

The virtual printer no longer appears when you install Acrobat 9/X on Mac OS 10.6 due to security features introduced in Snow Leopard. You can however use the Save As Adobe PDF command. By choosing Save As Adobe PDF from the PDF menu, Apple-based PDFs are converted to Adobe-quality PDFs using your JobOption settings. So be sure to also check that you're using a JobOption setting that embeds your fonts.
