Hi Pat,

The federal W9 were created using Adobe LiveCycle Designer, which means they’re not editable in Acrobat. However, if you need to insert the date, you can use the Text comment tool to do this.

Thanks,
Lori

I currently am looking at the 30 day trial of Adobe Acrobat DC.  I was filling in a W9 form and found the signature feature to be good but there is not a date feature like it where I can insert the signature date on the W9 form.  I get an error message that the form can’t be edited in this application.  Is there a way to insert a date like the signature feature on forms like this where the date is not a fillable box?
