I had Adobe Acrobat 9 and it worked great.  Now I have an upgrade to DC and it’s missing the redact tool.  That’s a basic function for editing and protection!  Is there a way to redact in DC?

Hi Inyang Okon-Itrechio,

Try right-clicking on the image and using the Arrange command to send the image to the back.

Thanks,
Lori

How do I import a photo or even a scanned signature into an Adobe document?  In the case of a signature, how do I send the imported signature behind so the original Adobe text appears so that the imported signature does not obscure the original scanned text,

Hi R Rajakarthik,

This is how your form was setup. You can only attach PDF files using the free Reader. Try using the Attach File command located in the Comments tool to add your JPEG file instead.

Thanks,
Lori

Hi Anna and Margaret,

You’ll need to create a fillable form field to get this type of formatting. This tutorial explains how to create fillable form fields:

I have the same problem and was hoping for an answer.  Apparently Adobe doesn’t have one.

Can I use formatting options such as setting up a fillable ssn, uppercase letters, or current date formats in Adobe DC? I am not seeing a format tab

Hi stef,

Can you provide a URL to the file you’re having problems with? You can use Document Cloud to share the file.

Thanks,
Lori

Trying to edit a form and Acrobat DC doesn’t just edit the text, it completely reformats certain features of the text. It will realign the text box, bold face the text, etc. How can I stop this?
