How to build a PDF form using InDesign CC and Acrobat XI

The ability to save PDF forms without reader-enabling them first was introduced in Adobe Reader XI. The only exception to this are forms created using Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

I have used Acrobat since version 4, and have always regarded the inability for those with the Acrobat Reader to not be able to save forms, as a decision by Adobe, that really disincentivised the use of *.pdf forms. Even now, very few Acrobat publishers of Acrobat forms, make the save option available.

Thanks for writing and sorry you’re experiencing problems with the video. We’ll check it out again. I just played it in Firefox with no problem, but I’ve forwarded it to our web developer to have another look!

The video crashes firefox and doesn’t show up in Safari.

I played the video in Firefox v34.0.5 and had no problem. I’ll ask our webmaster to check it out in IE and Firefox. In the meantime, can you try it again and let me know how it plays. Also, what version of Firefox are you using?

This video shows up for a couple seconds and then disappears in Firefox, page comes up unfounded in IE.
